It gives me great pleasure to share with you that the tea business strategy crafted with the guidance of Avenir for Godfrey Phillips India Limited-Tea Division in early 2004 is being implemented successfully.
While these are early days, the first steps have been encouraging and we have enjoyed a growth of around 40 % in revenues over the same period last year.
I appreciate the strategic planning process introduced by Avenir into the organization. This process has helped us take robust decisions, including the decision to merge the sales and distribution of the tea business with our mainstream tobacco business. |
